Our Staff

Touchstone Behavioral Health is a non-profit organization that has been fortunate enough to have successfully recruited top-notch personnel who are experienced, dedicated and sincere, whether they are on the professional team or the administrative staff. All our staff strive together to provide a safe, nurturing environment in which children and their families can pursue a better future.

The educated and certified counselors, therapists, and psychiatrists who have come together to make up the professional team at Touchstone Behavioral Health are as diverse as are our clients. Each is trained to 'partner' with families in order to find solutions to the problems causing stress, discomfort, and anxiety.

The Professional and Administrative staff of Touchstone Behavioral Health work under the leadership of Timothy Dunst, our President. Our Chief Executive Officer is Steve Ginsberg, LPC.

Timothy Dunst has been in the behavioral health field for 44 years and the head of Touchstone Behavioral Health since 1983. He has served in the role as CEO as well as president. He has won numerous awards over the years, most recently the Arizona Behavioral Health Leadership Services Award for 2008. He has been active in the adolescent behavioral health community throughout his career and has served on numerous committees and task forces appointed by the governor. He has presented at national and international conferences on evidence-based treatment and served as Chairman of the Council of Human Service Providers. He received his Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Masters in Social Work from Arizona State University.

Steve Ginsberg - Chief Executive Officer

Prior to assuming the Chief Executive Officer role, Steve was Chief Operating Officer. He has been with the agency since 1996. His responsibilities include overseeing the overall day-to-day management of the organization that has offices in Phoenix, Mesa, Glendale and Tucson, Arizona. He has oversight of all department directors and the organization's current and future growth. Among his many activities are the development of the annual business plan, on-going assessment of revenue/expenses with the CFO, assessment of community needs and review of potential new ventures. A licensed professional counselor, he is a graduate of City College of New York and received his Masters from Arizona State University.

Jeff Proveaux started with Touchstone Behavioral Health as Accounting Manager in 2002 and became CFO in 2007. As CFO he oversees the financial operations of the agency including budgeting, financial statement preparation and analysis, adherence to internal controls and oversight of the agency's annual financial audit. He is currently completing a degree at the University of Phoenix.

Danielle has been with Touchstone Behavioral Health since 2003. Involved with Multisystemic Therapy (MST) since 2002, acting as MST Program Manager since 2004. Her experience with MST has proven valuable as she took over the responsibilities for managing all of Touchstone's Evidence-Based Programs, including Functional Family Therapy (FFT), Brief Strategic Family Therapy (BSFT) and Multisystemic Therapy for Problem Sexual Behaviors (MST-PSB). In the role as Director of EBP since 2010, Danielle works to increase Touchstone's reputation as the premier provider of Evidence-Based Programs in the Southwest. Danielle is a Licensed Professional Counselor and graduated with her Master's Degree in Counseling from Arizona State University in Tempe. She has worked in various behavioral health capacities for more than 15 years.

Vernon Powell - Prevention Director, M.Ed.

Vernon Powell joined Touchstone Behavioral Health in 2003 as Prevention Coordinator, developing programs to meet the needs of schools and communities they serve. He was promoted to director in 2005, managing other programs within the Prevention Department. His primary responsibilities include program development, supervision of all Preventionist and Interventionist staff and grant writing supervision to ensure all proposals meet the agency's standard.  As Business Development Director, he is responsible for leading and coordinating the strategic efforts for the identification, evaluation and negotiation of business opportunities for Touchstone. He is also the chairperson for several committees within the agency including the Cultural Awareness Committee and the annual Family Fun Day event. He has over 18 years of experience in the Prevention and Social Development field and has completed over 400 hours of CEU training and workshops in his field. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource and Family Science and has a Masters of Education with an emphasis on Human Relations and Counseling from Northern Arizona University.

Steven W. Porter - CIO

Steve has been with Touchstone Behavioral Health since 2006. He is responsible for all information technology at the agency's offices throughout Arizona. He was instrumental in developing an electronic medical records system that allows the therapists of the agency to have immediate access to records and information while visiting clients at their homes and from remote locations away from the office or clinic. This program was recognized for its Best Practices by the prestigious Computerworld Honors Program acknowledging individuals and organizations that have used information technology to benefit society. He is a Microsoft Certified Professional and a member of the Association of Information Technology Professionals and the Arizona Small and Medium Business Users Group.

Frank Saverino, M.ED, LPC, LISAC - Clinical Services Director
Frank Saverino, M.ED, LPC, LISAC - Clinical Services Director
Frank has been with Touchstone Behavioral Health since November 2002. In his role as Clinical Services Director, he oversees many of the therapeutic programs and staff of the agency. With a field staff of seven supervisors and 65 clinical staff, Frank is busy reviewing staff activities, staff development, the development of client programs and crisis situations. He received his Masters Degree in Counseling Education from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania. He has been a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselor in Arizona since 1993.

Rita Torres - Administrative Services Director

As Administrative Services Director, Rita is responsible for customer service, administrative support, facilities and purchasing. She supervises clerical support to all staff, oversees purchasing, the facilities, tenant improvements, customer service and phone bank at Touchstone Behavioral Health.

She also coordinates most of the agency's special events including the quarterly employee forum, the newsletter and holiday parties. She has been with Touchstone Behavioral Health since 2003 and has worked in administrative services for over 25 years.

Diane Vandrush - Quality Assurance Director

As QA&I Director, Diane Vandrush supervises the Contract Compliance Department which is responsible for maintaining compliance with all funding and regulatory agencies including the Joint Commission's accreditation for Touchstone Behavioral Health. In her position she oversees several agency-wide Quality Improvement/Assurance and Risk Management initiatives to ensure the best possible services for the clientele of Touchstone Behavioral Health. She supervises the Medical Records and Intake Departments including both the Mesa and Phoenix offices. She has been in the behavioral health services field for 23 years. She was educated at Arizona State University with a degree in business and has been with the agency for five years.

Linda Warne - Human Resources Director
Linda Warne - Human Resources Director
Linda develops and oversees all HR programs including recruitment, compensation, benefits, performance management and employee relations at Touchstone Behavioral Health. Linda has been in the Human Resources field for 25 years and with Touchstone since 2002. She has worked for hospitals and local government and holds a B.S. degree in Management. Linda is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.
